Seletor Chico

Victor Chico was born in 1984 in the city of Curitiba. His first contact with music was through the school marching band, during elementary and high school. In 2003 he joined the Social Sciences course at the Federal University of Paraná. During this time Chico dedicated himself to study acoustic and electric guitar at the Conservatory of MPB in Curitiba, where he was impacted by musical references and also formed his first bands. After studying Social Sciences for 2 years, he decided to change his graduation to Music Production. And it was during this period that he had his first projects as a music producer. Between many endeavors, the main ones were: Kamadon, his first project with his friend Marcio Pichel in the psy-trance style; Midichlorians, a solo project in which he ended up releasing his first EP on the label Mão Santa, Ganesh Toresin’s record label;  Urbit, a band of experimental electronic music with his friends Ronaldo Miers and Orlando Muzg, with whom he performed at several festivals including the famous Circo Voador in Rio de Janeiro; Caosmic, another solo experimental electronic music project in which he used only hardware in his productions and concerts. After navigating through so many different musical styles and projects he created his current project: Seletor Chico, which merges all previous experiences in this passionate new endeavor. Aligned with the musical career Chico also works as a cultural producer with  Gerra G at Gatopardo; and as an audiovisual producer, having directed three music videos and participated in many projects such as documentaries and feature films.
